Family of Mummies

At the first sight this looks like some nightmarish family from an ancient mausoleum, taking a photo for their family album. But after watching them for some time now, I understand that they could represent any modern day folks, because the meaning of life, of union, love, having kids, pets, having a normal life, had changed in many ways. People are strange today, there is a lack of feelings, of love. That woman is trying to smile but I can see that it's an attempt, it's a fake smile. She's trying to fool us, and that bird can't fly anymore. The cat and the boy are sick of life and death. Father is sleeping, or in coma for an eternity now. Anyway, this is a great painting, deep, symbolic, with a strong message.
